Sustainable sourcing and production

Reducing Waste

We consciously aim to produce as little waste as possible during the candle making process by hand pouring in small batches and re-using excess wax to further our batch testing and quality control.

We work closely with suppliers and wherever possible, ensure they follow the same ethical approach to sustainability as ourselves.

Natural ingredients

Sustainable Rapeseed Wax

Our candles are made with a biodegradable plant-based natural wax derived from Rapeseed plants grown in both the UK and Europe. Not only is Rapeseed wax the perfect candle wax because it burns cleanly, for a long time and has amazing scent retention, but it is free from animal products, GMO markers and does not contain paraffin, animal stearine or palm oil.

Avoiding Palm and Soy Wax

Palm and soy waxes have been linked to deforestation in the Amazon rainforest in recent years due to the high demand for products, like candles, which contain these ingredients. For this reason, for our natural candles we have sourced a sustainable alternative in the form of rapeseed wax.

Pure essential oils

We only use therapeutic grade pure essential oils to ensure you receive a quality, luxury product packed with the positive effects for your mind and body that only nature can provide. We do not use any synthetic fragrances, chemicals or artificial colours in our essential oil blends.

Eco- friendly Packaging and delivery

Transparency

We list every ingredient clearly on our plastic-free packaging because it is important to us that you know exactly what you are bringing into your home.

We use recyclable cardboard made using wood fibre sourced from sustainably managed forests, with labels made from ‘bagasse’, a by-product of sugar cane processing which is biodegradable and compostable.

Our candle jar labels may look plastic but they are actually made from a completely biodegradable material and affixed with a biodegradable adhesive.

Natural Cork lids

Our candle lids are made from high quality eco-friendly bonded cork, sourced within Europe. After the first harvest of cork bark, the tree then regenerates the bark over the next 9 years, ready for another harvest, meaning no trees are cut down to produce this material.

‘Cork is one of the most sustainable products the planet produces. In a world where we are trying to decrease the amount of toxic packaging, cork production is leading the way.’

Delivery

We will always use recyclable cardboard for delivery and wherever possible re-use materials. You will never find plastic materials used in our delivery packaging.
